Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.”Genesis 16:13
Have you ever felt alone and invisible? Like your life did not matter to anyone else, and no one saw the pain you were in? Have you felt rejected? I am not saying Hagar was a saint; she was behaving arrogantly and rudely to Sari who was the one who gave her the opportunity to be elevated from servant to wife of Abram. But when she ran away and the angel of the Lord found her, her reaction was to be grateful that the Lord had seen her. I am grateful the Lord sees us while we are sinners, and loves us anyway.
